    290002 - Miamisburg Triathlon

    This 7th annual race includes 2.5 miles by canoe/kayak, a 5K run (3.1 miles), and an 11- mile bike ride through Miamisburg. Participants can take part as a two-person team or as a solo competitor. For the two-person teams, canoes, paddles and life vests are included with entry fee. Solo participants can bring their own kayak, or rent one by calling Barefoot Canoes at 937-698-4351 in advance. Rental reservations must be made by August 15 at 5 p.m. Helmets are mandatory for the bike portion of the race. Proceeds benefit the Miamisburg Youth Scholarship Fund. Register online at www.speedy-feet.com.
    Fees: $45/solo through July 31, shirt guaranteed. On August 1; $50, shirt not guaranteed. $100/team though July 31, shirt guaranteed. On August 1; $120, shirts not guaranteed.

    Register now to be part of a traditional Tae Kwon Do program, with an emphasis on character training. Valor Martial Arts goal is to instill confidence, respect, discipline and leadership in a fun, family-friendly environment. Classes are structured to meet the needs of each student individually, regardless of belt rank or ability level.

    This is a contracted program with Valor Martial Arts. Students may take their first session as an introductory course. Those wishing to progress through traditional Tae Kwon Do rankings will need to purchase a uniform through Valor Martial Arts and may occur additional fees throughout progressions.

    Welcome to the 2018 MBSL Fall Baseball League. This league will consist of 7 games and a single elimination tournament. Games will be played on Sundays starting September 9th. Registration will be accepted both for individuals or a team. If you register your child as an individual please put if you are interested in coaching, Each individual participant will receive a shirt and hat. Team registrations will be responsible for their own uniforms. If you are a select team registering to play in the league you must play in the next age group up. Registration deadline is Sunday August 19th.

    The professional instructor demonstrates how to safely use the fitness room exercise equipment and answers related questions.

Known as the Zumba "pool party," Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of a refreshing workout. Integrating the Zumba philosophy with traditional aquatic fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a workout that's cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief. Water depth ranges up to 4.5 feet. For a better workout, it is recommended that participants wear water shoes.

    The registration fee applies to each session individually. A $5 drop-in fee is available for drop-in attendance.

    Get into the "Fall Spirit" as we celebrate the season with autumn related kids' games and activities, giant pumpkin guess, candy guess, family entertainment and more. The Old Time Craft Day typically held at Heritage Village is now part of this exciting day. Demonstrations and displays of glass blowers, basket weavers, candle makers, quilters and more will be on site at Riverfront Park. If you have never been to the Village, hay rides will run continuously from Riverfront Park to Heritage Village. Jump off and check out what Heritage Village has to offer. Sizemore Farms will be available with an array of pumpkins and festive home decor for purchase. Food trucks a plenty and arts and craft vendors are also available. Additionally, a new Extreme Zone has been added. Patrons can purchase individual tickets or an armband for unlimited times at $15 to participate in the American Ninja Warrior Run, climbing wall and zip line.     Join us for Miamisburg’s Community Holiday Celebration. The parade kicks-off the event at 2:30 p.m. at the corner of West Central Ave. and 6th Street and ends in Riverfront Park. Following the parade, visit an elves’ workshop with games and crafts in the Baum Opera House and have pictures taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Fire Station #53 (Ferry and First St.) until 5 p.m. (bring your own camera for photos).

    Ice Skating from 1-9 p.m. at Riverfront Park, skate rental and fees apply.

All float applicants are asked to decorate using the annual theme. Prizes will be awarded to three floats best depicting the holiday season. No entry fee is required.     440025 - The Great Miami Valley Tweed Ride

    Celebrate fall, cycling, and tweed as we sally forth about town simply because it promises to be a smashing good time! Open to chaps and lasses of all ages, this slow-paced, flat ride is 7 miles roundtrip with the turn-around at Crains Run Nature Park, or choose the leisurely 4-mile jaunt to Rice Field and back.

    Meet at Riverfront Park for tea and registration, pose for photos on Main Street, ride south on the bikeway, and return downtown to visit your favorite pub.

    Proper attire includes anything argyle, everything vintage, and all things tweed. Awards for: Most Dapper Chap, Most Snappy Lass, Most Elegant Steed, and Most Marvelous Mustache.

    The Tweed Ride is free, Tweed Ride t-shirts are $10 while supplies last.

Complete the goal by the end of March and earn a $10 SAC’s Café certificate in honor of your achievement. We will likewise celebrate our Canadian friends that pedal our way. Note: participants must be a SAC member, age 55 or older, and have taken the required fitness room orientation.

    ADVISORY: Many activities that keep the body active, such as walking and exercise, offer benefits important in maintaining good health. However, it is strongly recommended that all persons should consult their physician prior to participation in any physical conditioning activity or organized sport.
